Opened as Bell Town School on the NW corner of 3rd Ave and Vine St on September 24, 1876. Site and building sold on May 13, 1884 and closed in June 1884. At undetermined dates, building was remodeled into an apartment/rooming house called Eleanor Rooms and demolished by Metropolital Printing Co. Named Denny School on July 19, 1884 and opened at its new and final site. John Parkinson addition in 1891. Closed in spring of 1928 and building demolished for completion of regrade; bell tower preserved in Denny Park; site sold.
