"A committee of 100 Seattle citizens, known as the Seattle Citizens School Progress Planning Committee, was formed by the Seattle School Board in August 1966, and was charged with responsibility to 'critically analyze the Continuous Progress Center concept', proposed by Dr. Bottomly, 'in relation to the districts long-range building program, & recommend to the Board, in light of curriculum, staff, transportation, & cost factors, whether it should be adopted, modified, or rejected." -- [page 9]
